Signs of Spring

The cold, dark days of Winter may be receding at last and it is time to look for the signs of Spring. On a late January day I visited Pimp Hall Nature Reserve to search for them.
The light at this time of the year seems different to the stark, bright light of a mid winter sunny day. It feels softer somehow and as the mist disappeared in the distance, the rain drops hanging from tree branches lit up as though they were fairy lights.
And at last I came aross some green shoots ...
It will not be long before nature awakens from its wintry sleep.
